Going into 2022, it was known that AEW President Tony Khan would have to make decisions regarding who he would re-sign and those who he would let go from the AEW roster as several talent contracts are up this year. Some have been extended like The Young Bucks, Brian Cage, and many more while others are on their way out or already gone from the promotion such as Joey Janela and Lio Rush.
Fightful Select reported today that Marko Stunt’s AEW deal is slated to expire in May. He hasn’t been seen on AEW programming nor backstage at shows in months.
There have also been merchandising designs for Jurassic Express that don’t feature him at all, and no references have been made about him on television.
Those that Fightful spoke to stated that Stunt had expressed his willingness to prove himself and remain with the company.
