INDIANAPOLIS – Four members of the Drexel University Wrestling team appeared in the first NCAA Coaches Rankings this week while the EIWA received 45 pre-allocations for the 2021 Division I Wrestling Championships.
FIRST NCAA COACHES RANKINGS OF 2021
Parker Kropman (157 pounds), Evan Barczak (165 pounds), Michael O’Malley (174 pounds) and Bryan McLaughlin (197 pounds) all registered on the national rankings.
O’Malley, at 174 pounds, received the highest ranking for Drexel at No. 15. Kropman (157) and McLaughlin (197) were both ranked No. 21 at their respective weights. Barczak appeared at No. 26 for 165 pounds.

The DI Wrestling Championships take place from Thursday, March 18 to Saturday, March 20 in St. Louis.
EIWA PRE-ALLOCATIONS FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The NCAA also announced pre-allocations (based on 5-year averages for the participating conferences) to the championship tournament. The EIWA has received a total of 45 positions: 10 automatic spots for the conference champions and 35 conditional spots that must be earned by wrestlers with at least four bouts at tournament weight this season.

Due to the limited bout results for the current year, the EIWA plans to wrestle for true 4th place at 149 and 285, and true 6th place at 184, with the winners receiving the pre-allocated berth at the NCAA tournament.
The 117th EIWA Championship Tournament will be held at Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, Pa. on Friday, February 26, 2021.
