57- Flynn – No concerns here. He had a really good tournament and is about where we thought he was. Maybe even better. Had close matches with two very good guys in Spratley and Howard. He’s definitely on pace with where he should be.
70- Henson – Not really concerned here either. He really hasn’t wrestled a whole lot of freestyle so he really just got out savvy’d imo. I look forward to seeing the adjustments he might make before WTT’s. He’s capable of going with all of those guys.
86 – Stewart – Not sure what happened here. Could be a weight thing or got a stinger, I don’t know.
86 – Fisher – What a tournament. Really didn’t have a close match. Might make everyone rethink Stewart at 184. I personally think Stewart’s style is better fit at 197. Fisher is looking like an option whether at 174 or 184 after Mekhi and Bolen.
Hwt – Catka – I really want him to wrestle to his potential. Seems like he might be in his head too much. Very high ceiling, but there really hasn’t been too much improvement here from what I’ve seen. And that’s concerning. I really think it’s a mental thing. He’s a great athlete and a great wrestler he just seems very gunshy. If he can let go a little bit I think he can be special, but he hasn’t shown that thus far.
