COLLEGE PARK, MD — On the heels of a road win over No. 16/No.17 Pittsburgh on Friday, the Terps have entered the top-25 rankings in both the NCAA (No. 24) and InterMat (No.20) rankings for the first time since 2013.
This is the first time Maryland has been ranked in the NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll since Nov. 13, 2013, 3,296 days ago.
The Terps (4-0) also have victories over Duke, Bloomsburg and American, all in dominant fashion.
Against the Panthers on Friday, five Terps won their individual bouts: Braxton Brown, Ethen Miller, Michael North, Dominic Solis and Jaron Smith. Brown, Solis and Smith are all yet to lose a bout this year. Kal Miller and Jaxon Smith are also ranked for the Terps.
Maryland returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 11 for a dual against local rival Navy at 2 pm in Annapolis.
