Following the retirement of Vince McMahon from WWE, there is another sign that the long-time Chairman is definitively done with the company.
On the 22nd of July, Vince McMahon sent out a Tweet that changed the face of the wrestling world forever. The man who was at the helm of WWE’s rise into a global behemoth announced that it was time for him to retire from his role.
The announcement came amid investigations into McMahon over allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money payments to former employees.
While there has been some conjecture as to Vince McMahon’s ongoing influence seeing as his replacements include his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported however a clear sign that McMahon is not part of the company going forward as he has been removed from the internal WWE roster.
Prior to that Vince McMahon had been listed alongside those who don’t make regular appearances for the company but are signed to WWE deals such as The Bella Twins and John Cena.
Current United States Champion Bobby Lashley has recently discussed how he feels that Vince McMahon will “still be there” despite his retirement and leaving the company.
