CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Six members of the Virginia wrestling team head north this weekend to compete at the Mat Town Open I hosted by Lock Haven on Sunday (Nov. 27).

• Justin Phillips is coming off a championship performance for the Hoos at the Shorty Hitchcock Invitational.
• Phillips went 4-0 on the way to the title – his first of the season at an open tournament.
• Rocco Contino is also coming off a championship performance at the Mountaineer Open (11/12).
• Hudson Stewert posted a runner-up finish at the Mountaineer Open in the same bracket as Contino.
• Hadyn Danals turned in a runner-up finish at the Mountaineer Invitational with his only loss coming to teammate and nationally-ranked Neil Antrassian.
• Evan Buchanan makes his first appearance since opening weekend when he finished sixth at the Southeast Open.
• Vic Marcelli placed at both tournaments to start the season – third at the Southeast Open and fourth at the Mountaineer Invitational.

UP NEXT FOR THE HOOS
Virginia will return to action in dual competition next week with a trip to North Carolina for a pair of dual matches. The Cavaliers will take on Queens University of Charlotte on Friday (Dec. 2) before closing the weekend at Campbell (Dec. 4).
